Sam Obiago is a fast rising Nollywood actor, producer and a television personality. He acts mostly as a king, title chief, elder, father and uncle in epic, action, tragic, glamour and romantic movies alongside with Zubby Michael, Ken Erics, Regina Daniels, Yul Edochie, Chika Ike, Destiny Etiko, Chizzy Alichi, Rachael Okonkwo and a host of other top Nollywood celebrities.
He was born and bred in Kaduna, the capital of Kaduna State in the northern part of Nigeria. He is originally from Asaba, Delta State in the south southern part of Nigeria. He completed both his primary and secondary school education in Lagos in the south western part of Nigeria and obtained both his First School Leaving Certificate and West African Senior School Certificate.
After completing his primary and secondary school education, Sam Obiago proceeded to Institute of Management and Technology (IMT) in Enugu, Enugu State in the south eastern part of Nigeria and obtained a Degree in Mass Communication. After that, he proceeded to Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA) in Ondo State in the south western part of Nigeria and obtained a Masters Degree in Business Administration.
He is very handsome, gifted, skillful, creative and talented in acting and interpretation of movies roles. He knows how to interpret his roles very well and can fit in any character given to him by movie directors and producers in Nigeria. Before acting, he had a successful career in the banking industry.
He worked in Eco Bank from 1991 to 2001, Eco Transitional Incorporation from 2001 to 2005, Banquet Atlantique (Barclay’s Bank) from 2005 to 2007, Access bank from 2007 to 2009, Success Finance in Ivory Coast from 2009 to 2011, and currently the CEO of Fincraft Sarl from 2011 till date. He is currently an Investment Consultant, CEO of Fyntrans Limited and Filmmaker. He recently produced a movie titled “Grievous Oath”. He can speak both English and French fluently.
Sam Obiago joined the Nigerian movie industry (Nollywood) in 2013 and started attending movie auditions and acting as a minor character in movie. He rose to fame after acting in several Nollywood blockbuster movies.
