Serena Jameka Williams popularly known as Serena Williams is a famous American professional tennis player, entrepreneur, investor and a philanthropist. She is among the most successful tennis player of all time and has been regarded as one of the highest-paid female athletes in the whole world for several years. She was born on 26th September 1981 in Saginaw, Michigan in the United States of America. She is currently 37 years old.
Serena Williams was born in Saginaw, Michigan to Oracene Price and Richard Williams. She is the youngest child in a family of five daughters. She also has seven half-siblings from her father. When she was young, her family moved to Compton, California in the United States of America, where Serena Williams started playing tennis at the age of 3 years old.
When Serena Williams was 9 years old, she and her family moved from Compton to West Palm Beach, Florida in the United States of America, so that she could attend the tennis academy of Rick Macci, who provided additional coaching services to her. In 1995, when Serena Williams was in the ninth grade, her father pulled her out of Macci’s academy and started coaching her by himself.

Serena Williams is also a five-time winner of the WTA Tour Championships in the singles division. She has also won four Olympic gold medals, one in women’s singles and three in women’s doubles and an all-time record shared with her sister, Venus.
