Seyi Law Biography and Net Worth

Lawrence Oluwaseyitan Aletile popularly known as Seyi Law is a famous Nigerian stand-up comedian, actor, master of ceremony, event planner and a television host. He has featured in several international comedy shows both home and abroad. He was born on 22^nd June 1983 in Ilaje, a small town in Ondo State in the south western part of Nigeria. He is currently 34 years old. He is very handsome, creative, skillful, gifted, talented and very funny.

Seyi Law is originally from Ilaje, a small town in Ondo State in the south western part of Nigeria. He didn’t grow up with his parents as he returned to Nigeria from Gabon at the age 6 years old. He had his nursery and primary schools education in Okitipupa, Ondo State, Nigeria and obtained his First School Leaving Certificate.

After completing his primary school education, Seyi Law attended Ekiti State Government College, formerly known as Unity Secondary School in Ekiti State, Nigeria, but completed his secondary school education at Methodist Boys High School in Victoria Island, Lagos State, Nigeria and obtained his West African Senior School Certificate.

After completing his secondary school education, Seyi Law proceeded to Lagos State Polytechnic to pursue a part-time programme in Computer Studies. He started his career as a comedian and master of ceremony (MC) and started performing at social gathering and events while still in campus.

In 2006, Seyi Law rose to fame after winning the AY Open Mic Comedy Challenge competition. Since then, he has featured in several international comedy shows both home and abroad and has been described as the best comedian in Nigeria.

Apart from comedy, Seyi Law is also an actor. He has acted in few Nollywood movies which include Prophet Nebu and My Wife and I. He has also acted in several comedy skits which he published on YouTube and has hosted several comedy shows, events and concert. He is the founder of “I Must Laugh” a comedy shows he host every festival period.

During an interview with the media, he stated that he came from a poor family background. He confessed that due to poverty and unemployment, he sold fish with his mum at Makoko market in Lagos State, Nigeria. He has also worked at PZ as a casual worker.

After a while he moved over to Orile, a poor sub region in Lagos, to join his elder brother were he started up his own business centre, making calls and selling recharge cards. It was just then he discovered he can make people laugh and decided to go into comedy and took it seriously. According to him, it was AY that gave him the opportunity to display his talent to the world.

On 28^th March 2011, Seyi Law got married to Stacey Aletile and the marriage is currently blessed with beautiful kids. Seyi Law in the cause of his career has won several awards which include the Best Comedian of the Year (Male) at the City People Entertainment Awards, Best Actor in Comedy at the Nigeria Entertainment Awards and Most Promising Comic Acts to Watch at the Headies Awards.

In 2015, Seyi Law won the award for Most Outstanding Comedian in Nigeria by Comedy Infusion. On 22^nd February 2015, Life Changers Foundation awarded him and the Down Syndrome Foundation Nigeria gave him an award for his Humanitarian Contribution to Humanity.

In 2013, Seyi Law signed an endorsement deal with PTV Phones worth millions of Naira. In 2014, he signed a multi million Naira endorsement deal with Arkbridge Integrated. In 2013, he signed an endorsement deal with Samsung worth millions. Seyi Law is among the highest paid comedian in Nigeria. The popular comedian has managed to stay off scandal. His comedy skit titled “Jesus in Making” alongside with Funny Bone became the most trending comedy skit on social media.

Seyi Law is currently one of the richest and most influential comedian in Nigeria with an estimated net worth of $750,000.
