The Nigerian movie industry has grown so popular to become the third largest movie industry in the world next to Hollywood of USA, and Bollywood of India. The industry’s international recognition kicked off in 1999 after the release of the block buster movie “Living in Bondage” which brought many actors and actresses to limelight.

Ken Erics Ugo is one of the fast rising actors from the South-eastern part of Nigeria. He hails from Enugwu Ukwu in Njikoka local Government Area of Anambra State, Nigeria. He was born in Kano on the 28^th of February 1980, He holds a bachelor’s degree in Theater Arts from one of the prestigious institution in the South East Nigeria, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka where he graduated in 1999, and further posted to Kaduna for his National Youth Service, joining Nollywood in 2001. Ken Erics is the sixth child of his Parents.

His urge to become an entertainer started from childhood. As a young boy, he joined several drama clubs, did stage performances, and sang in his church. With the support of his parents, he proceeded to study Theater Art in UNIZIK. He acted first in Nollywood during his university days in a movie titled,’ Holy Prostitute’. Since then, doing what he knows how to do best (acting) has taken him round the country.

Finding his feet in the Nollywood industry was not a palatable experience. He has had to sleep in shattered houses, motor parks, under the bridge, and uncompleted buildings because he had no money to lodge in a hotel, and no friends to stay with when he newly got to Lagos for a movie audition hosted by Teco Benson at the National Theater Iganmu, Lagos, and to be shot in Lagos also. Mr. Eric believes his passion saw him through.

Today Ken Eric Ugo is one of the most sought after actors in the Nigerian movie industry “Nollywood”, and one of the richest celebrities in Nigeria with fleets of cars, houses, and other properties here and there.

Ken Erics is very handsome, generous, friendly, loving and a philanthropist, one need not be told that girls are all over him. What else is expected? He is a cute made guy and still single.
