Susan Peters is a famous and multiple award-winning Nollywood actress, model, television personality, entrepreneur and a philanthropist. She was born on 30th May 1980 in Ado Local Government Area of Benue State in the north central part of Nigeria. She is currently 37 years old. She was born into a military family of Idoma extraction.

She is very beautiful, gifted, skillful, creative and talented in acting and interpretation of movie roles and can fit in any character given to her by movie directors and producers in Nigeria. Her family moved around Nigeria extensively and, as a consequence, she speaks several Nigerian languages.

Susan Peters attended Airforce nursery and primary schools in Wuse, Abuja in the capital city of Nigeria and obtained her First School Leaving Certificate. After completing her primary school education, Susan Peters proceeded to Federal Government College in Wuse, Abuja in the capital city of Nigeria and obtained her West African Senior School Certificate.

After completing her secondary school education, Susan Peters went on to study Computer Science at Asman English School in Wuse, Abuja in the capital city of Nigeria and graduated in 1998. After obtaining a Diploma in Computer Science, she went further to studied TV and Film at Video Waves and Camera Film School in Abuja and graduated in 2002.

According to her official biography, she finished as the Best Overall Female Student in her class. She started acting in Nollywood movies in 2002 and joined the Nigerian movie industry (Nollywood) at the same year in which she graduated from Video Waves and Camera Film School with a Diploma in TV and Film.

The following year being 2003, she began modeling and appeared in several billboards, TV commercials, press ads and handbills for companies such as British America Tobacco, Fidelity Bank, Bank P.H.B., Golden Penny Pasta, U.H.F, Long Life Milk, Haemeron Blood Tonic and Finbank.

Despite increasing pressure for Nollywood actresses to perform raunchy love scenes and appear with little or no clothing in movies, Susan Peters has stated, more than once, that she is not planning to follow suit. Susan Peters is currently a multiple award-winning Nollywood actress. She is a star on Nigerian TV, a successful model, interior designer and beauty salon owner.

In 2001, Susan Peters won the Best Actress in English at the 2011 Afro Hollywood Awards for her role in the Nollywood blockbuster movie “Bursting Out”. In 2011, she also won the Best Actress in a Supporting Role at the Nollywood and African Film Critics Award, Best Actress in Supporting Role at the North Carolina Nigerian Oscars Awards and Best Actress in a Supporting Role at the Best of Nollywood Awards.

In 2010, Susan Peters won the Best Supporting Actress Award and the Actress of the Year at the 2010 City People Entertainment Awards. In 2012, she won the Most Stylish Actress from City People Magazine at the City People Entertainment Awards.

In 2011, she made the December cover of the creatively acclaimed, arts and culture magazine “ZEN”. The Zen Magazine editor, Arinze Nwokolo, however stated that Susan Peters is a remarkable and an incredible talent in the movie industry! Her dedication to her art is unmistakable.

Although Susan Peters regularly mentions her family in interviews, she is discrete about romance and has rarely been linked with any man. She said during an interview in 2011 that she was in a relationship but didn’t mention a name, stating that it’s her private life and would like to keep her private life private. However, she married a Dutch in 2015 but is now divorced.

Susan Peters in the cause of her acting career has won several awards. In 2010, she won City People Awards for Outstanding Performance, Best Supporting Actress in Nollywood and African Film Critics Awards in North Carolina in the United States of America. In 2011, she won Nigerian Oscars Awards for Best Actress in a Supporting Role, Best Actress in English at the Afro-Hollywood Awards and African Films Awards.

In 2011, she has also won Best Supporting Actress at the Best of Nollywood Awards and DIVA Awards for her recognition to the growth of the industry. In 2012, she won City People Magazine Beauty and Fashion Awards for Most Stylish Actress and Best Supporting Actress at the Golden Icons Academy Movie Awards in Houston, United States of America.

Susan Peters has acted in more than 250 Nollywood movies which include Wasted Effort, The Hammer, Songs of Sorrow, Squad 23, State of Emergency, The Begotten, The President Must Not Die, Stolen Bible, War Front, Saving the Crown, Wild Wind, Second Adam, Life is Beautiful, Immoral Act, Nollywood Hustlers, etc.

Susan Peters is currently one of the richest and most influential actress in Nigeria with an estimated net worth of $700,000.
