Tension In Aso Rock As Nnamdi Kanu Send A Warning Message To Buhari Government

Nnamdi Kanu the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has warned Nigeria President Muhammadu Buhari over his refusal to order a referendum. It was reported that the IPOB leader who has been agitating for the Biafra Republic warned that if President Buhari refuses to conduct a referendum, Nigerians would consider order options to ensure secession.

The IPOB leader who doubles as the Director of Radio Biafra, a radio station dedicated to the propagation of Biafra news, gave this warning on the micro-blogging site, Twitter. Nnamdi Kanu stressed in a series of tweets, that sovereignty is taken and not given. According to Atatürk of Turkey “Sovereignty is not given, it is taken” the IPOB leader said.

The IPOB leader continued: “Now, I say unto President Buhari, that if you don’t concede to a Referendum for the peaceful dissolution of Nigeria, there will come a time when the indigenous peoples of Nigeria will consider other options. Separation comes with quantum benefits. Soviet Union, Ethiopia, and many other nations suffered when they were held in unity by force.”

The IPOB leader who is currently in exile, also noted that Nigeria would benefit more when there is a secession. Nnamdi Kanu further stated that now that Soviet Union and Ethiopia are separated, the new nations prospered more than the old. Nigeria needs to learn that separation can be beneficial to all” he added.
