The Sad Truth Why Nollywood Actress Rita Dominic Isn't Married

Famous and beautiful Nollywood actress Rita Dominic known for her role in the 1998 Nollywood blockbuster movie “A Time To Kill” is not yet married as all the news surrounding her marriage are all rumours. Rita Dominic who is no longer getting any younger is not yet ready to walk down the aisle with any man as she is still very much single and doesn’t even have a boyfriend talk less of fiancé.

Most of the friends in the circle of Rita Dominic are all married. The 45-year-old actress does not seem ready to walk down the aisle with any man. Maybe she could still be searching for her special one on the single market. But does it mean that they is no man out there that got Rita Dominic eyes on or does it mean she is absolutely not ready to get married even though she is fast approaching 50 years old.

She has been constantly pressured by her family and colleagues to get married but all indications tell us she is not ready for such journey. According to her she will only get married once she meets the right person, especially someone that will respect her, love her sincerely, pamper her and accept her for who she is and not for what she has achieved. According to her, she doesn’t care if the man is rich or poor, famous or infamous, short or tall, white or black. She just needs a man that is God fearing, hard working, respectful and caring.

However, during an interview, beautiful Nollywood actress, Rita Dominic revealed why her marriage plans failed months after it was speculated that she was walking down the aisle. Speaking during an interview with TVC News, Rita Dominic stated that she was about to get married but it ended up not working out between her and her supposed spouse.

She also stated that she was happy the marriage did not work out. According to her, rather than bowing to societal pressure, she will marry the “man of her dreams” but in her own time.

According to her words;

“I will marry the man of my dreams and not the man society dreams for me. I almost married someone. We were there. We were at that point. It didn’t work out and I’m happy it didn’t work out because I saw the signs” she stated during an interview with TVC News.

Rita Dominic is a famous Nollywood actress, producer, model and a television personality. She has been regarded as one of the best industrious actress in Nollywood and also one of the highest paid actress in Nigeria. She is always known for featuring in romantic, sorrowful and action thriller movies. She has been in the industry for over two decades. She always plays the role of a romantic wife, girlfriend, runs girl, royal princess, palace maid, orphan, widow, president daughter, industrious working class lady, independent corporate young lady and a self made young lady in several Nollywood movies.

She began her career as a model at a very tender age before joining the Nigerian movie industry popularly known as Nollywood professionally. She started acting right from her secondary school days and was an active member of her school dramatic club. She was born on 12th July, 1975 in Mbaise, Imo State in the south eastern part of Nigeria. She is currently 45 years old. She is the youngest child in a family of four siblings. Rita Dominic is a member of the Royal family of Waturuocha of Aboh Mbaise local government area of Imo State in the south eastern part of Nigeria. Her late parents were medical practitioners. Her late father was a medical doctor while late her mother was a nursing officer.

After completing her secondary school education, Rita Dominic proceeded to University of Port Harcourt in Rivers State in the south southern part of Nigeria and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre Arts in 1999. She had interest in acting at a very tender age and started performing in stage drama when she was still a child, appearing in school plays, drama and children’s television shows in her hometown of Imo State in the south eastern part of Nigeria.

Rita Dominic is originally from Mbaise, a small town in Imo State in the south eastern part of Nigeria. Rita Dominic completed her primary school education in Ikot Ekpene, a small town in Akwa Ibom State in the south southern part of Nigeria and obtained her First School Leaving Certificate. After completing her primary school education, Rita Dominic proceeded to Federal Government College in Ikot Ekpene, a small town in Akwa Ibom State in the south southern part of Nigeria and obtained her West African Senior School Certificate.

Rita Dominic has acted in more than 300 Nollywood movies. Some of the movies she has acted include Children of Terror, Prisoner of Love, My Guy, Face of a Liar, The Meeting, A Time To Kill, Aba Riot and many more. In 2015, Rita Dominic won the Best Actress in Nigeria at the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards for her role in the blockbuster movie “The Meeting” which she also co-produced.

Aside from acting, Rita Dominic is also a producer. She has produced numerous films both in Nigeria and abroad. She is indeed a force to reckon on in the Nigerian movie industry popularly known as Nollywood. Aside from acting and film production, Rita Dominic is also a philanthropist. She established her charity and nongovernmental organization to assist the poor and less privilege and also to give back to the society for their support in her career.
