Uche Iwuji is a famous Nollywood actress, model and a television personality. She was born on 26th August 1981 in Randle Hospital in Surulere, Lagos State in the south western part of Nigeria. She is currently 36 years old. She was born into a family of four children, comprising of two boys and two girls.
She started acting at a very tender age and was an active member of a dramatic club in her secondary school days. She is very beautiful, gifted, creative, skillful and talented in acting and interpretation of movie roles and can fit in any character given to her by movie directors and producers in Nigeria.
Uche Iwuji is originally from Mbano, a small village in Imo State in the south eastern part of Nigeria, but was born and bred in Surulere, Lagos State in the south western part of Nigeria.
Uche Iwuji completed both her primary and secondary school education in Surulere, Lagos State in the south western part of Nigeria and obtained both her First School Leaving Certificate and West African Senior School Certificate.
After completing her primary and secondary school education, Uche Iwuji proceeded to University of Lagos and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology.
After completing her university education, Uche Iwuji joined the Nigerian movie industry (Nollywood) and acted in her first movie “Tears in Heaven” a movie produced by Zeb Ejiro.
The movie “Tears in Heaven” became a blockbuster and brought her to prominence. The movie also earned her a nomination for Best New Actress at the African Movie Academy Awards. Apart from acting, Uche Iwuji is professional model, who ended up as the first runner-up in the Miss Lagos Beauty pageant.
On 16th November 2012, Uche Iwuji got married to her a Nigerian million Juwon Lawal, the chief executive officer (CEO) of ABD Oil and Gas Plc located at Ikoyi, Lagos, Nigeria. Unfortunately, her marriage with Juwon Lawal ended up in a divorce in late 2013.
Uche Iwuji has acted in several Nollywood movies which include Passion and Pain, Dream Again, Way to the Top, Emotional Tears, My Conscience, My Dream, Lost Passion, A Can of Worms, Up to Me, etc.
She acts mostly n romantic and action movies alongside with Saint Obi, Jim Iyke, Genevieve Nnaji and Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, amongst other. According to her, Nollywood famous actress Genevieve Nnaji is her role model and mentor.
Uche Iwuji is a face to reckon with in the Nigerian movie industry (Nollywood). She is currently one of the most beautiful, most gifted, most creative, most skillful and most talented actresses in Nigeria. She knows how to interpret her roles very well.
Uche Iwuji in the cause of her acting career has won few awards which include Best Supporting Actress at the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards, Most Promising Actress in Nigeria at the City People Entertainment Awards and Best New Actress at the Golden Icon Movie Academy Awards.
Uche Iwuji is currently one of the richest and most influential actress in Nigeria with an estimated net worth of $250,000.
