Uti Nwachukwu Biography and Net Worth

Uti Nwachukwu is a famous Nollywood actor, musician, television personality, Jara TV presenter, model, a philanthropist and the winner of Big Brother Africa All-Stars Edition season 5. He was born on 3rd August 1982 in Ughelli and raised in Sapele, a small town in Delta State in the south southern part of Nigeria. 

He is currently 35 years old. Uti Nwachukwu is a native of Ndokwa of Aboh Kingdom in Ndokwa-East Local Government Area of Delta State in the south southern part of Nigeria. He is the last born in a family of six children. Uti Nwachukwu rose to fame after winning the Big Brother Africa All-Stars Edition season 5 in 2010.

Uti Nwachukwu completed his primary school education in Delta State, Nigeria and obtained his First School Leaving Certificate. After completing his primary school education, Uti Nwachukwu proceeded to the Igbenedion Education Centre in Edo State, Nigeria from 1993 to 1999 and obtained his West African Senior School Certificate.

After completing his secondary school education, Uti Nwachukwu proceeded to University of Nigeria Nsukka in Enugu State, Nigeria and graduated with a National Diploma in Computer Science and Education. After obtaining his National Diploma, Uti Nwachukwu proceeded to University of Benin and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and Education.

Uti Nwachukwu made his way into the Nigerian entertainment industry while still in school, featuring regularly in music videos, modeling in billboard adverts and finally contesting in “The Next Movie Stars” reality television competition in which he was the first runner up and which led to him getting parts in a few small screen production and movie roles in Nigeria.

On 5th October 2008, Uti Nwachukwu became the third evictee of the Big Brother Africa season 3. During his stay in the Big Brother Africa eviction house, Uti Nwachukwu was known for often teasing his fellow housemates (Mostly Mimi and Thami). During Nambian housemate and Lucile’s eviction, Uti Nwachukwu had a violent outburst upon learning that Lucille had been evicted.

In 2010, Uti Nwachukwu competed as a contestant in Big Brother Africa All-Stars Edition season 5 in which he lasted 91 days and ultimately won by defeating Munya in a final vote of 8 to 7. During the competition, Uti Nwachukwu spent a combined total of 133 days in the Big Brother house.

After winning the Big Brother Africa All-Stars Edition season 5 competition, Uti Nwachukwu has been involved in several projects majorly in the entertainment and fashion industry. He also has interest in charity work as he holds an annual event for the less privileged tagged “Uti Lead the Stars”.

Uti Nwachukwu began his acting career in 2011 and has featured in several Nollywood movies which include The Changer, Finding Mercy, Nnenda, In the Cupboard, Broken Silence, Weekend Getaway, Deep Inside, etc. In 2012, Uti Nwachukwu won the award for Best New Actor at the GIAMA Awards held in the United States of America.

In early 2011, Uti Nwachukwu recorded and released his first song titled “Once in my life”. The video of the song “Once in my life” was shot on May 2011 and was released in summer of 2011 to much admiration of music fans around the continent.

The video of the song “Once in my life” later won him an award for Best Soft Rock at the Nigeria Music Video Awards. Uti Nwachukwu has featured in several modeling jobs and events in Nigeria and abroad.

Uti Nwachukwu has won several awards which include Best Actor in a Leading Role at the Africa Movie Academy Awards, Best Actor of the Year at the City People Entertainment Awards, Best New Actor at the GIAMA Awards and Most Prominent Actor in Nigeria at the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards.

Uti Nwachukwu is currently one of the richest and most influential actor in Nigeria with an estimated net worth of $1 million.
