Victor Moses is a famous Nigerian football player, investor, entrepreneur and a philanthropist. He is currently one of the best, greatest and most outstanding football players Nigeria has ever produced and also one of the most successful footballers in Africa. He was born on 12th December 1990 in Lagos in the south western part of Nigeria to Josephine Moses and Austin Moses. He is currently 27 years old.
Victor Moses is currently an international and a professional Nigeria footballer who plays as a winger or wing-back for the Super Eagles of Nigeria national team and English Premier League club Chelsea. He has been described as one of African most accomplished footballer with so much physical fitness.
Victor Moses was born in Lagos in the south western part of Nigeria. He is a Christian and a son of a pastor in a local church in Lagos States, Nigeria. When he was just 11 years old, his parents were killed by armed robbers. A week later, Victor Moses was scheduled to travel out of the country for security reasons, with his travel expenses being funded and paid by members of relatives. After which Victor Moses went to United Kingdom as an asylum seeker at the age of 11 years old.
While in United Kingdom, Victor Moses attended Stanley Technical High School, now known as the Harris Academy in South Norwood, United Kingdom and joined his school football club. Victor Moses started playing football at a very tender age. He was scouted playing football and displaying massive skills in the local Tandridge League for Cosmos 90 FC, when Crystal Palace manager approached him and urged him to play for Crystal Palace.

Victor Moses agreed and began his career in the Championship with Crystal Palace, before his performances caught the eye of Wigan Athletic manager, where he made his Premier League debut in 2010. After two years of playing for Wigan Athletic, Victor Moses became a public figure due to his impressive performance and physical fitness.
Victor Moses first came to prominence at the age of 14 years old after scoring 50 goals for Crystal Palace. While playing for Crystal Palace and his school club Whitgift, Victor Moses scored over 100 goals as well as helping his school club Whitgift win many School Cups, including a National Cup where Victor Moses scored all five goals in the final against Healing School of Grimsby at the Walkers Stadium in Leicester, United Kingdom.
In early 2012, European champions and leaders of the English Premier League Chelsea became interested in Victor Moses and signed him into the club in the summer of 2012. Despite ten goals in all competitions during his first season in Chelsea, Victor Moses spent his second season on loan to Liverpool. He also spent his third season on loan at Stoke City and his fourth season on loan at West Ham United.
Victor Moses made his full debut for Chelsea when he started the League Cup game against Wolverhampton Wanderers and scored his first goal after 71 minutes in a game that finished 6–0 to the Blues. Four days later, Victor Moses scored his first Champions League goal for Chelsea against Shakhtar Donetsk. In the game, Victor Moses replaced Oscar in the 79th minute of the game and went on to head in Juan Mata’s corner with seconds left to secure a 3–2 win for Chelsea.

On 5th January 2013, Victor Moses opened his scoring tally for the year with a powerful drive into the bottom corner whilst playing in the FA Cup Third Round against Southampton, as Chelsea came from 1–0 behind to beat the Saints 1–5 victory. Victor Moses also scored his first Europa league goal for Chelsea in a 3–1 home win against Rubin Kazan, and also scored his second Europa league goal for Chelsea in the reverse fixture a week later.
Victor Moses continued his fine form and impressive performance in the competition by scoring his side’s first goal in the 1–2 away win at Basel on 25th April 2013. He also scored in the reverse match against Basel when the Blues won 3–1 at home and secured their participation in the Europa league final, a match in which Victor Moses did not feature in, and a match in which Chelsea won 2–1 against Benfica in Amsterdam on 15th May 2013.
While in United Kingdom, Victor Moses was selected to represent England youth team at under-16, under-17, under-18, under-19 and under-21 levels, but he opted out and decided to play for his country Nigeria. Victor Moses has gained over 20 caps for Nigeria since his debut in 2012 and has played in their winning campaign at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations, as well as the campaign in the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
After much pressure to represent England, Victor Moses decided to represent his adopted country England and represented them in the under-16 team, in which he won the Victory Shield in 2005 for England. In 2007, Victor Moses travelled with the England squad to the 2007 UEFA European U-17 Championship in Belgium, where he scored three times in the game, including the only goal in the semi-final win over France. At the end of the game, Victor Moses managed to finish as the competition’s top goal scorer and was awarded a Golden Boot for his impressive performance.

In February 2011, Victor Moses was selected to play for Nigeria against Guatemala, but the friendly was later cancelled. In March 2011, he accepted a call-up for Nigeria’s games against Ethiopia and Kenya. However, he was ruled out of those games because his application to FIFA to switch nationalities was not received in time. It was later announced on 1st November 2011 that FIFA had cleared both Victor Moses and Shola Ameobi to play for Nigeria.
In 2013, Victor Moses was also called up to Nigeria’s 23-man squad for the 2013 African Cup of Nations, where he scored two penalties in their final group stage game against Ethiopia, which Nigeria needed to win to go through. The game later ended up in a 2–0 victory for Nigeria.
In 2014, Victor Moses was selected for Nigeria’s squad for the 2014 FIFA World Cup and started in their opening group match and the Round of 16 match against France as they lost 2–0 defeat against France.
Upon Gernot Rohr assumption as the new Nigeria’s Super Eagles head coach in August 2016, Victor Moses has featured regularly in the FIFA 2018 qualifying matches. Victor Moses scored a brace for Nigeria during the FIFA 2018 qualifying match against Algeria in November 2016, helping them to secure a 3–1 victory. In May 2018, Victor Moses was named in Nigeria’s preliminary 30 man squad for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
Victor Moses has won the African Player of the Year and African highest goal scorer. While in United Kingdom as a teenager, Victor Moses grew up supporting Arsenal. He currently has a son named Brentley, who was born in 2012 and a daughter named Nyah, who was born in 2015 from his babymama.
