Following the ongoing Biafra agitation in the southeastern part of the country that is being spearheaded by the IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu and how this very agitation which started with a mere protest is about to disintegrate the unity of Nigeria as a nation, a prominent human rights activist, Aisha Yesufu has taken to social media to suggest a dialogue over what she described as the Biafra talk.
According to the post Aisha Yesufu made via her official Twitter handle, she disclosed that she had earlier brought up the idea of how there could be a peaceful dialogue to resolve the ongoing conflicts emanating from the southeastern region of the country. Aisha further obliged that we all must sit down as a nation and have the Biafran talk while stressing that the atrocities which has already been committed must be acknowledged and apologies must be made.
The activist while trying to proffer a solution to the ongoing crisis insisted that atonements should also be made with the commitment to abstain and never return to this very disastrous path again if we all wish to ensure a clean future for the next generation to be born.
According to her words; “I have said it before and I say it again. We need to sit as a nation and have the Biafran talk. The atrocity must be acknowledged, apologies given, atonement made, and commitment to never go that path again. The generation coming after us deserves a clean air,” she stated.
