What Happened To Nollywood Actor Yul Edochie?

Nigerians have raised concerns over a recent photo of popular Nollywood actor and entrepreneur, Yul Edochie on his official Instagram handle. Yul Edochie, the son of veteran Nollywood actor, Pete Edochie, shared a photo of himself which revealed his face battered on his official Instagram page and this has got fans to begin talking as to what had happened to him.

A section of fans wondered if he had been beaten or attacked by hoodlums while others were of the conviction it is a makeup for a movie he featured in. Others also were of the notion that, probably, he may be suffering from a strange sickness. But what could be happening to this handsome and talented actor.

Yul Chibuike Daniel Edochie is a Nollywood Actor and a Model. He is currently married & based in Lagos. He was born on 7th January 1982 into a well grounded Christian family made up of six children, he is the last born. He is currently 35 years old. He is the second son of Nigerian veteran actor Pete Edochie.

Yul Edochie grew up partly in Lagos and the eastern part of Nigeria where he had a very sound basic education. He is originally from Anambra State in the eastern part of Nigeria and grew up both in Enugu and in Lagos. He had the passion for acting which took him to study Theatre Arts at the prestigious University of Port Harcourt.

He graduated from University of Port Harcourt in where he bagged a Bachelor Degree in Theatre Arts in 2003. After NYSC Yul Edochie joined the Nigeria Movie Industry (Nollywood) and started his professional career in 2005.

That same year, he acted his first movie titled “The Exquires” alongside with Chidi Mokeme and Justice Esiri. Even though his father (Pete Edochie) was already famous, Yul wanted to be his own man, make his own name and not live under the shadows of his father.

He became highly famous in 2007 after starring in a blockbuster movie “Wind of Glory” starring Genevieve Nnaji. In 2009 he won the city peoples award for best new actor and was also nominated for best actor of the year in 2011.

His career has grown beyond bounds & his fan has increased, he is ranked as one of the most expensive actors in Nigeria. In 2011 he founded the Yul Edochie foundation which aims at giving back to the society and helping the less privileged.

Yul Edochie has acted in movies like Innocent Pain, My Loving Heart, Gaza Treasure, Royal Challenge, etc. He has won several African Movie Awards such as most prominent actor in Nigeria & best actor in Nigeria.
