Starboy records boss and Ojuelegba crooner Ayodeji Balogun, known professionally as Wizkid has announced his intention to quit music temporarily. The “Fever” crooner took to the micro-blogging site, Twitter to announce that he would be taking a much-deserved rest in music till December 2019.
Wizkid, who did not reveal the reason for his intended break, uploaded on Twitter a video of him having fun with his crew members with the caption: “Gone till December! Thank you”.
Also, an associate of Starboy, @YungmilliRazaki wrote: “Wiz needs rest. We gone miss you till December”.
Meanwhile, Wizkid has revealed his one target for the year 2019. The singer, in a chat with Sahara TV after his ‘VIP Experience’ concert at Eko Convention Centre in Lagos, said he had an amazing year in 2018, noting that he plans to make more money in 2019.
Asked what his plans for 2019 were, the Starboy records boss simply responded: “More money, gbayi“.
Wizkid who was born on 16th July 1990 and currently 29 years old as of 2019 has actualized more fame and achievements which even men in their 50s have not dream to achieve. He has been in the industry for over a decade and hasn’t slid back for once. Wizkid who is originally from Surulere in Lagos was brought up in an average rich family with twelve female siblings and being the only male child and last baby in the family.
He started pursuing his music career at the age of 11 years old. His parents later admitted him into a private university known as Lead City University in Lagos, but he later dropped out to focus full time on his music career. Today he has achieved so much wealth and currently the second richest musician in Nigeria.
