Yoo Seung-ho Biography and Net Worth

Yoo Seung-ho is a famous South Korean actor, model and a television personality. He is very handsome, gifted, skillful, creative and talented in acting and interpretation of movie roles. He knows how to interpret his roles very well and can fit in any character given to him by movie directors and producers in South Korea. He was born on 17th August 1993 in Gyeyang District, Incheon, South Korea. He is currently 25 years old.

He rose to fame as a child actor in the film “The Way Home”. After his two-year mandatory military service, he starred in the legal drama “Remember”. Yoo Seung-ho was born and raised in Incheon, South Korea. He is the youngest child in a family of two siblings. He came from a very poor family background.

Yoo Seung-ho graduated from Baekshin High School in February 2012. He decided not to pursue a college degree in order to concentrate on his acting career.

Yoo Seung-ho made his entertainment debut as a model in a cell phone commercial in 1999 after his mother sent in a photo of her son to an ad agency. In 2000, Yoo Seung-ho began his career as a child actor, and made his first appearance in the television drama “Daddy Fish”. He rose to stardom in his first film titled “The Way Home” where he played the role of a bratty city boy who learns to appreciate country life when he was forced to spend the summer with his deaf-mute grandmother.

The film which was shot on a low budget hit the box office in 2002, drawing more than 4 million admissions. Yoo Seung-ho has acted in movies like “Heart Is” which was shot in 2006 and “Unforgettable” which was shot in 2008. Yoo Seung-ho has won the Young Artist Award for Best Young Actor in an International Film.

Yoo Seung-ho has also starred in movies like Warrior Baek Dong-soo, The Magician, Remember, The One Who Sells the River, The Emperor, I Am Not a Robot, amongst others.

Yoo Seung-ho has also acted in movies like The King and I, The Legend, Magic Warriors Mir & Gaon, amongst others. In 2009, he starred in the action film “City of Fathers” and also in the action thriller film “4th Period Mystery”. He has also played the role of Kim Chunchu in the epic movie “Queen Seondeok”.

In 2010, he was cast in one of the major roles in “Master of Study” a Korean screen adaptation of Japanese manga Dragon Zakura. He later went on to played a more mature role in the movie titled “Flames of Desire” as the second-generation son of a wealthy Chaebol family who is uninterested in the battles of succession among his relatives and becomes a married man at the age of 21 years old.

In 2011, Yoo Seung-ho trained in swordplay and martial arts, where he played the role of an assassin in the South Korea popular film “Warrior Baek Dong-soo” an action drama which was based on the manhwa by Jae-heon. In 2012, he was cast in his first role as a leading man in the movie “Operation Proposal”. After that, he played a supporting role as the Jade Emperor, ruler of the heavens in the fantasy-period drama “Arang and the Magistrate”. After that, he starred in the melodrama “Missing You” where he played the role of a cold man who hides a vengeance-filled heart behind his seemingly gentle smile.

In 2015, Yoo Seung-ho appeared in the music video for Naul’s “You from the Same Time”. After that, he starred in the joseon-era romance film titled “The Magician” a film directed by Kim Dae-seung, in which he plays a circus magician who falls in love with a princess. In 2016, Yoo Seung-ho starred in the movie “Seondal: The Man Who Sells the River” where he played the role of the titular Kim Seon-dal. In 2017, he starred in MBC historical melodrama “The Emperor: Owner of the Mask”. He has also acted in a romantic-comedy film “I Am Not a Robot”. In 2018, he was cast in SBS’s high school drama “Revenge Has Returned”.

On 5 March 2013, Yoo Seung-ho was enlisted for his mandatory military service, as a regular soldier, where he reportedly worked in training new recruits. He was later discharged on 4th December 2014. Yoo Seung-ho in the cause of his career as an actor has won several awards which include Best Young Actor at 1st Korea Movie Star Awards, Best New Actor at the MBC Drama Awards, and Male Star Award at the 4th Andre Kim Best Star Awards, amongst others.

Yoo Seung-ho is currently one of the richest and most influential actor in South Korea with an estimated net worth of $32 million.
