Yoon So-yi Biography and Net Worth

Moon So-yi popularly known as Yoon So-yi is a famous South Korean actress, model and a television personality. She is very beautiful, gifted, skillful, creative and talented in acting and interpretation of movie roles. She knows how to interpret her roles very well and can fit in any character given to her by movie directors and producers in South Korea. She was born on 25th January 1985 in Seoul, South Korea. She is currently 33 years old.

Yoon So-yi made her entertainment debut as a model in Graffiti Magazine in 2001. After a few years of print and commercial modeling, she auditioned for the action comedy movie “Arahan” in 2004. The movie “Arahan” was based on a popular South Korean comic character, Arahan who explored the consequences of unleashing an ancient evil spirit into a modern city.

In the movie Yoon So-yi underwent strict training for six months in a film action school, where she had to overcome her phobia of heights. The film “Arahan” was a commercial success. In the movie “Shadowless Sword” she played the role of a beautiful young swordswoman who protects the future king. She learned wushu for three months in Korea. In 2006, Yoon So-yi was cast in the movie “Goodbye Solo” a movie written by renowned drama writer Noh Hee-kyung.

Yoon So-yi attended Dongguk University and graduated in 2011 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre and Film. While at Dongguk University, she was a Sports Model but eventually dropped out due to showbiz commitments. She combined her acting career and studies together, but slowing down her acting activities to focus more on her studies and becoming known in the Korean press as one of the very few celebrity model students, with regular attendance and good grades. She later graduated from Dongguk University in 2011.

After graduating from the university, Yoon So-yi starred in the historic drama movie “Warrior Baek Dong-soo” which was produced in 2011. She has also acted in movies like “Glass Castle” which was produced in 2008 and “Hero” which was produced in 2009.

In 2009, she won the Special Model Award at the 4^th Asia Model Festival Awards. In 2011, she won Excellence Award and Actress in a Special Planning Drama at the SBS Drama Awards. In 2012, she won Excellence Award and Actress in a Daily Drama at the KBS Drama Awards.
